Real Estate & COVID-19: What It Means for the Industry and The Stephanie Webb Team

Monday Mar 23rd, 2020

On March 22, 2020, Governor Mike DeWine enacted the Stay at Home order for all Ohioans. Real estate services, appraisal and title companies have all been deemed essential services by the Governor. So what does this mean moving forward? Here is some information that I hope you find helpful:

We have the technology already in place at The Webb Team, Mansfield, Ohio Realtors with Re/Max First Realty and will immediately begin implementing virtual listing presentations, virtual market analysis, virtual buyer and seller consultations and virtual tours for clients. If this is of interest to you - please call or email me at 419.709.0489 or at

Due to real estate being deemed essential services -all of my clients who have homes currently in contract should still be able to safely close! So, no need to stress if you are in contract! From my home office - I am closely managing and monitoring all the necessary steps to get you to the closing table!

My team utilizes dotloop technology for electronic signatures - any contract changes, request to remedies, purchase agreements, listing contracts etc can be signed electronically from the safety of our respective homes!

Last week in anticipation of this happening, I took detailed video of my active listings. Meaning, if you are interested in 11 College St. in Butler for example - you can go to my Youtube channel and do a video walkthrough virtually!

The Webb Team at Remax First Realty has always prioritized technology in all areas of our business to help our clients get the best possible customer service as well as the best possible marketing for their homes. A changing market requires us to evolve even more - so stay tuned!

It has also been laid on my heart that during these difficult times its so important to come together (in spirit!) as a community. I am announcing an initiative today to try to help the most vulnerable population in our community - the elderly. If you know of someone at a higher risk who is having trouble getting out to get essentials like bread, milk, canned goods, or toilet paper please email We would love to adopt a couple families to try to help them by dropping a bag of groceries off to their front step. ***Please feel free to share this message***

Finally, on a personal note, I believe we all have to do our part to flatten the curve. This is a very scary virus. I have been following the advice of our local, state and national government/officials to the very best of my ability and urge you all to do the same! I know some of you are in a position right now where you absolutely have to move (you just got married, you are being relocated, divorcing, can no longer afford your home, your house is already in contract, you are already in process of building a house etc)- I want you to know I am 100% here for you and look forward to serving you while taking all safety precautions and using virtual technology to your advantage!

The Stephanie Webb Team has always conducted business in a way that prioritizes people over profits. It is our hope that if we all follow the Stay at Home order, flatten the curve and beat this virus, we can all go back to business as usual. Until then please #StayHome and lets get through this together!
